Background
June is a founder of SavannaStack Ltd and a market-systems specialist. She brings research discipline, partnership craft, and a clear view of how infrastructure is financed and delivered in East Africa.
She is Program Director at the Millennium Water Alliance for RAPID+ — a USD 15.4 million Swiss-funded programme (November 2021–October 2026) to expand water and rangeland services for more than 200,000 people in Garissa, Isiolo, Marsabit, Turkana, and Wajir. The work is county-led: targets, private-sector and government partnerships, fundraising beyond the Swiss contribution, and a systems lens so the infrastructure lasts. She joined MWA in April 2022 as Water Intervention Manager and Market Systems Development Specialist, then WASH Systems Manager, before becoming Program Director.
She previously managed WASH and climate portfolios at EED Advisory (including the Kenya RAPID end-of-term impact assessment), researched with Global Water Intelligence in Oxford, and worked with Gatsby Africa on non-revenue water with utilities across the country — partnerships, district metered areas, training, and quarterly monitoring.
She holds an MSc in Water Science, Policy and Management from the University of Oxford (Mansfield College; Weidenfeld-Hoffmann / Louis Dreyfus) and a BSc in Soil, Water and Environmental Engineering from JKUAT, plus a diploma in Business and Information Technology from Strathmore. She is a member of the International Water Association, publishes on groundwater data access in low- and middle-income countries, and has completed the Dream VC investor accelerator. Languages include English, Kiswahili, and Dholuo.
At SavannaStack she keeps the products aligned with the constraints operators have.
